Serial robber charged after pistol whipping woman during robbery in Davidson Co.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — A violent robbery in Davidson County is the latest charge against a man accused of committing similar crimes in Nashville over the past few years.

Kenya Lewis, 50, was taken into custody on Jan. 7 after he was identified in a police lineup.

According to court documents, the robbery took place on Dec. 11, 2024, after Lewis and a woman had a disagreement regarding property. Lewis reportedly pulled out a gun and hit the woman over the head before telling her, “Take all your stuff off,” reports said. He then reportedly took the woman’s cell phone, coat and a backpack containing other items.

Authorities said the victim sustained severe lacerations to her head after the incident.

Weeks later, on Dec. 30, 2024, the victim positively identified Lewis in a photo lineup coordinated by the Metro Nashville Police Department.
