Tennessee was among the five states with the highest rates of flu in December, and doctors caution that cases continue to spike. The Volunteer State joined Oregon, Louisiana, Alabama and New Mexico in ranking at the top nationally in the “very high” category of flu cases, according to Dec. 28 numbers, the most recent data from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
