Nashville Police Nab 20-Year-Old Suspect in Series of Car Burglaries and School Break-In

East Precinct officers arrested 20-year-old Tonderius Sanchez Jones late Thursday night for a series of car burglaries and a school break-in. Previously out on bond, he now faces multiple charges, according to the Nashville Police Department.

A woman called the police after chasing a man who broke into her car, but he escaped in the 500 block of Summer Place. The suspect, Jones, was later linked to car break-ins on Lenore Street and a burglary at Explore Community School on S. 7th Street, where security footage captured him before he fled. Previously out on a $30,000 bond, he was later spotted on Shelby Avenue. When officers approached, he tried to run but “didn’t get far,” as reported by the Nashville Police Department…
