Nashville’s new bus routes spark debate on traffic congestion amid growing population

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WZTV) — Data shows Nashville has a population of more than 650,000 people.

80% of those people drive their own cars, that’s not including the tens of thousands of people who are driving in from neighboring counties.

Right now, WeGo operates 27 local bus routes and 9 regional routes. With the new public transportation plans, one commuter is worried new bus routes along these already busy roads will cause more congestion…
