Midwest Severe Weather Alert: Tornadoes, 75 MPH Winds Expected Friday and Saturday

St. Louis, MO – A dangerous storm system is set to impact the Midwest this weekend, bringing the risk of tornadoes, damaging winds, and large hail across multiple states in the Mississippi and Ohio Valleys. The most severe storms are expected Friday, March 14, and Saturday, March 15.

According to the NOAA Storm Prediction Center, an intense line of thunderstorms will develop across the Mississippi Valley on Friday before shifting eastward into the Lower Ohio and Tennessee Valleys overnight. Some storms could produce wind gusts over 75 mph, large hail, and strong tornadoes, especially from the Middle Mississippi Valley into Tennessee.

By Saturday, the severe weather threat moves further east into the Deep South and Ohio Valley, with supercell thunderstorms capable of producing additional tornadoes and widespread wind damage…
