Woman charged with robbing food delivery driver at knifepoint in South Nashville

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — A woman was arrested by Metro Police Tuesday evening after allegedly robbing a man at knifepoint for a food delivery order.

According to court documents, just after 4 p.m. Tuesday, officers were called to the area of Lafayette Street and 2nd Avenue South, where a food delivery driver claimed he was robbed as he tried to make a delivery in the area.

The man told officers he pulled up to a home in the 20 block of Hart Street when a woman — identified as 39-year-old Christina Sawyers — approached his vehicle with a knife and demanded the bag of food.

She reportedly reached through the open car window and took the food and the driver’s wallet, officials said. Sawyers then got into a black Ford Focus with two men and they quickly drove away…
