NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — The Metro Nashville Police Department has reported a rise in commercial burglaries even as other crimes, like auto theft and some other violent offenses, have been on the decline.
One business told News 2 that these break-ins are costly and can disrupt operations for weeks. The Southern Trophy House on Nolensville Pike was hit in December.

“Someone had thrown a cinder block through our front door and set off our interior motion sensors,” Vice President of Southern Trophy House, Wilson Brim, explained. “He ultimately took less than $300, but collectively, we have spent over $2,000 fixing, repairing and dealing with the aftermath.”
