Nashville nonprofit works with local first responders to help in natural disaster responses

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – When severe weather strikes, no matter where, first responders tend to have their hands full.

A Nashville-based nonprofit looks to aid the load that first responders take on during these events. Through a group of trained volunteers, many with first responder or military backgrounds, the organization hopes to make the biggest impact where they’re needed.

Beacon Rescue partners with local agencies to fill the gaps where they are needed in disaster response. Whether it be through coordination of resources, rescues, even welfare checks, they say they look to help responses to natural disasters to aid the community in need…
