80-year-old woman refused to leave seat, carried out of committee hearing by THP Troopers

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – After a protest disrupted a Senate Finance Committee meeting where a controversial bill was being voted on, an 80-year-old woman had to be carried out by Tennessee Highway Patrol Troopers.

State lawmakers had just voted to pass a bill allowing schools to charge undocumented students tuition or refuse to enroll them if their parents cannot pay.
