NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — At least two people were killed in a high-speed crash in The Gulch neighborhood of Nashville early Friday morning.
The crash happened at the intersection of 12th Avenue South and Demonbreun Street around 2:45 a.m.
According to Metro police, an SUV crashed into a taxi van and into the bottom of a 5-story building. The vehicles crashed into the storefront for Del Frisco’s Grille.
Two people in the back seat of the taxi were killed in the crash while the taxi driver and another person were taken to an area hospital with critical injuries.

Investigators believe four men in the SUV were street racing with another vehicle prior to the crash. Three men from the SUV then got out of the crashed vehicle and into the other car involved in the race, according to Metro police. That vehicle then drove away…
