Motorcyclist killed in crash on Lebanon Pike, MNPD says speed was contributing factor

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — A Nashville motorcyclist died Sunday afternoon following a collision involving a pickup truck along Lebanon Pike.

The incident was reported at approximately 12:15 p.m. on Sunday, April 13 on Lebanon Pike at Wellington Square.

According to the Metro Nashville Police Department, the investigation shows that 27-year-old Tyler S. Davis was riding his Kawasaki ZX6 eastbound at a high rate of speed when he hit the driver’s side of a Nissan Frontier that was pulling out of the gym in the 3000 block of Lebanon Pike.

Authorities said the 26-year-old in the Nissan was driving across the eastbound lanes to turn left and go west. He told law enforcement he didn’t see any vehicles approaching.
