NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — Officers were called to a Dollar General in North Nashville last Friday after a man allegedly made threats while wielding a machete.
According to Metro Police, the incident occurred on April 11 on Brick Church Pike. The victim told officers 66-year-old Larry Wade Hitt was rummaging through a trash can when the victim informed him he was trespassing, and asked him to leave. Hitt reportedly began making threats to harm the victim and pulled out a machete.

The victim reportedly informed Hitt he was armed, and the suspect left the area.
Using the description provided by the victim, officers located Hitt about a block away near Moorewood Drive and Spears Road. Reports said there was a large metal object in Hitt’s waistband, which was later confirmed to be the weapon. He was taken into police custody without issue, officials said…
