TN Black Caucus responds after whips given to state representatives

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — The Tennessee Black Caucus released a statement after physical whips were gifted to Deputy Whips.

Six Deputy Whips were appointed by House Majority Whip Johnny Garrett (R – Goodlettsville) earlier this month.

Rep. Michele Reneau (R- Signal Mountain) also posted a pic with Garrett and the whip , posting “Honored to be appointed as a Deputy Whip for the Tennessee House Republican Caucus by Majority Whip Johnny Garrett. In this role, I’ll work alongside my freshman colleagues to advance our conservative values and priorities.”
