NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WZTV) — A man has been arrested after a police chase stemming from a shoplifting report at a Dollar General on Dickerson Pike.
Metro Nashville Police (MNPD) officers arrived at the Dollar General on Wednesday after receiving a complaint that a man with a ski mask and a gun, as well as two other women, had shoplifted.
Shortly after arriving at the store, store staff and a bystander pointed out the male suspect, who fled the scene down Dickerson Pike. After a police attempted to pull over the suspect’s car, he ran out of the car down Dickerson Pike and eventually took cover behind a car at an auto dealership. While running, authorities say he reached into his waistband and took out a gun.
