NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — A man featured on the Metro Nashville Police Department’s “Most Wanted” fugitives list has been taken into custody.
According to police documents, William Tibbs Jr., 32, is currently housed in the Downtown Detention Center on multiple sex crimes charges related to a January incident.

Per an affidavit, Metro officers responded to a call for service regarding a sexual assault on Jan. 23. When they arrived, officers spoke with a juvenile female victim who detailed how Tibbs sexually assaulted her on two separate occasions. According to the affidavit, Tibbs is at least 10 years older than the teenage victim.
Tibbs was charged with rape by force or coercion, two counts of aggravated sexual exploitation of a minor-1 to 25 items, and one count of aggravated statutory rape, according to police documents.
