Tennessee residents urged to prepare for Real ID implementation by May deadline

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. — The Tennessee Department of Safety and Homeland Security says that deadline to register for a Real ID is drawing near for travelers.

It comes after security concerns brought to light after the 9/11 terrorist attacks, which caused the passage of the Real ID act in 2005.
