Tennessee Storm Alert: Strong Thunderstorms With Hail and 50+ MPH Winds Possible From 2–10 PM Monday

Nashville, Tenn. – Storms are expected to intensify across Tennessee Monday afternoon, bringing the threat of hail and damaging winds that could impact travel and outdoor plans through the evening.

According to the National Weather Service in Nashville, scattered strong to marginally severe thunderstorms will develop between 2 p.m. and 10 p.m., with nickel- to quarter-size hail and wind gusts exceeding 50 mph possible. Areas east of I-65—including McMinnville, Crossville, and Chattanooga—are especially at risk, though much of Middle Tennessee remains under a marginal risk for severe weather.
