‘No Catholic is obligated to attend Mass’: Diocese of Nashville says amid increased ICE activities

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – For most people, church is supposed to feel like a safe place, but with recent immigration enforcement activities, the Diocese of Nashville said many are concerned about possibly being detained.

“Our churches remain open to welcome and serve our parish communities,” the Diocese of Nashville said.

However, they said no Catholic is obligated to attend Mass on Sunday if doing so puts their safety at risk…
