Rutherford County feels the pressure from Nashville’s growth

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WZTV) — The housing market in Rutherford County continues to heat up, with Murfreesboro at the center of the growth. According to local realtor Erika Kurre with Benchmark Realty, high demand is causing a spike in housing prices across the area.

Kurre says there’s been a $50,000 increase in the median sales price since 2023, pushing the average cost of a home in the area to $467,990.

“We have so many people still, even with mortgage interest rates high, even with our home prices high, there are still more people buying than there are homes available,” Kurre said…
