Young driver taken into custody following police chase in La Vergne

LA VERGNE, Tenn. (WKRN) — An attempted traffic stop in La Vergne Thursday evening led to the arrest of a minor for several serious charges, including kidnapping.

When the car entered the Lake Forest subdivision, authorities said they “strategically terminated” the chase out of caution due to the neighborhood’s layout and the potential risk to bystanders. However, officers flooded the area and — with help from a vigilant tipster — quickly tracked down the vehicle.
