Man charged in connection with repeat thefts, robbery in Nashville

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — A 61-year-old man has been charged in connection with several thefts from convenience stores and box trucks in Nashville.

Andrew Walker, 61, was arrested Monday and booked into Metro Jail following a string of incidents over the course of three months.

Around 5 a.m. on Feb 18, Walker and another suspect allegedly carried out a theft at a distribution center on Nolensville Pike. Reports said the suspects used bolt cutters to remove a lock from the back door of a box truck and took five boxes of cigarettes, valued at about $8,000. They then placed the boxes in a vehicle registered to Walker, who was later identified as a suspect by surveillance video.

According to an arrest report, a similar theft occurred on Feb. 24 at the same distribution center, during which the suspects broke into a truck and removed four boxes of cigarettes, valued at about $7,000. The suspects again fled in a vehicle registered to Walker, and he was identified as a suspect in surveillance footage…
