3 teens, 1 man facing charges following gunfire in East Nashville

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — Law enforcement quickly responded to the sound of gunfire in East Nashville early Friday morning, which led to the arrests of four people and the seizure of six guns.

According to the Metro Nashville Police Department, Specialized Investigations Division detectives had been working to identify those responsible for recent gunfire near CWA Plaza Apartments and Cayce public housing. As a result, when they heard gunfire by CWA Plaza Apartments on South 5th Street on Friday, May 23, they arrived in the area quickly and learned the individuals wanted for questioning in the morning gunfire allegedly had gone into an apartment on Summer Place.

Authorities said they entered the apartment with the leaseholder’s consent and noticed three guns on a living room couch. When police executed a search warrant, they found three more guns. Of the six guns recovered, three had been reported stolen.
