NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — A man wanted in connection with an April 2024 robbery-related murder has been arrested in Los Angeles, according to the Metro Nashville Police Department.

Christopher Cheeks, 32, was killed in what police said was a robbery-related murder outside a music studio on Hayes Street in April 2024. Cheeks was also known by his stage name Chris King. On Wednesday, the MNPD announced in a social media post that a joint FBI and Los Angeles Police Department task force arrested Adrian Cameron Jr. in connection with the case.
In a press release, the MNPD said that at the time of Cheeks’ murder, Cameron had been free on bond for the September 2021 murder of 50-year-old Josh Evans of Lebanon. Cameron was reportedly on an ankle monitor as part of his bond conditions, however data from the monitor indicated that it had been cut off shortly before Cheeks was shot.

Cameron was known to be an associate of 19-year-old Amir Carroll, who was arrested in connection with the case in February. Cameron has appeared on the MNPD’s “Most Wanted” list of suspectsseveral times and had 12 outstanding grand jury indictments related to the incident.
The MNPD added in a Wednesday night press release that Cameron would be returned to Nashville from California “in the near future.”…
