A 23-year-old felon, identified as Adonis Ellis, is facing serious charges after his connection to a shooting that occurred in Nashville last September was confirmed. As reported by WSMV, Ellis was apprehended in Springfield by Metro Nashville Police Department detectives and is currently held on a $650,000 bond.
Following an earlier altercation, the shooting took place at the intersection of Buena Vista Pike and Kirk Avenue. Police believe the incident escalated when Ellis shot the 43-year-old male victim in the leg. The victim, having received medical treatment at a local hospital, has survived the injury. Ellis’s criminal history includes a robbery conviction from July of the prior year, resulting in a sentence to six years of supervised probation.
