Motorcyclist injured in multi-bike crash on I-440 identified

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WZTV) — A motorcyclist who suffered life-threatening injuries in a multi-vehicle crash Saturday night on Interstate 440 East has been identified as 24-year-old Donald Tucker II of Nashville.

The crash occurred around 10:10 p.m. when Tucker struck the rear of an Acura sedan, according to Metro police. The impact caused the Acura to swerve into another motorcycle operated by a 54-year-old Nashville man. The Acura then spun out and hit the left-hand retaining wall, while another bike came to rest nearby.

Tucker’s motorcycle slid down the roadway and came to a stop on the left shoulder. Two other motorcycles — one ridden by a 24-year-old Portland man and a second operated by a 43-year-old man from Thompson Station — were also involved.
