COLUMBIA, Tenn. (WKRN) — A man was injured when he was shot by an officer while walking on Nashville Highway in Columbia early Tuesday morning.
The Columbia Police Department described the shooting as a “moving situation” in between the 1500 and 1700 block of Nashville Highway around 1 a.m.

According to a press release, officers were called to the area after receiving a report of a “suspicious male walking in the roadway, attempting to approach passing vehicles.”
