Runner injured after ‘unprovoked’ stabbing attack in Madison

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — A runner was injured Saturday in Madison after he was stabbed in an alleged unprovoked attack.

According to court documents, on May 31 around 1 p.m., the man was out for a run near Maple Street and Brawner Avenue when he saw 32-year-old Timothy Castille standing at the intersection. As he got closer, Castille reportedly ran toward him and stabbed him in the neck.

The victim told authorities there was no argument or conversation prior to the stabbing. Court documents said it is believed Castille’s only intent was “to critically injure the victim.”
