DoorDash driver busted on I-40 in Mt. Juliet, fentanyl found in vehicle

MT. JULIET, Tenn. (WZTV) — What began as a routine DoorDash delivery turned into a serious arrest Sunday when Mt. Juliet police pulled over a Nashville man who turned out to be speeding, unlicensed and in possession of drugs.

According to the Mt. Juliet Police Department, officers observed a Jeep Renegade racing westbound on I40 at 93mph in a 70-mph zone shortly after the driver had dropped off a DoorDash order in the area . Because of the excessive speed, officers initiated a traffic stop — not suspecting what they would find next.

During the stop, they learned the 34-year-old Nashville man was driving on a revoked license and had an outstanding Metro Nashville warrant for violation of probation, stemming from an aggravated assault conviction …
