Pandemic-era funding continues to run dry in 2025, and Nashville isn’t immune to the effects.
The latest example can be found at the Metro Action Commission, where additional funding for the office’s Emergency Rental Assistance program — typically funded by the federal Community Services Block Grant program but, in recent years, supplemented by a major boost from American Rescue Plan Act funding — is scheduled to lapse at the end of June.
While that won’t lead to the program going away outright, it does stand to significantly impact the number of clients who will be able to receive some help through the program — likely to the tune of hundreds of households…
