NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — Protesters are gathered Saturday morning in cities across Middle Tennessee as part of the nationwide “No Kings Day” demonstrations.
In Nashville, rain showers have not stopped over 1,000 attendees from gathering at Bicentennial Capital Mall Park, with some holding signs declaring “No Kings in America.”

Saturday morning around 11 a.m., local officials said around 500 protesters had begun to gather at The Avenue in Murfreesboro off Medical Center Parkway.

Several additional Middle Tennessee cities and towns will hold protests Saturday as part of about 2,000 rallies across the country.
According to the No Kings website, the rallies are a direct response to the military parade set for Saturday — which falls on Flag Day and President Trump’s birthday — in Washington D.C. to mark the 250th anniversary of the U.S. military.
