Bobbie’s Dairy Dip: A Nashville tradition

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — Bobbie’s Dairy Dip has been a Nashville staple since 1951.

Opening under the original name of “Harper’s Dairy Dip,” it was purchased in the mid-1980s by the late Bobbie McWright, who coined it “Bobbie’s Dairy Dip.” Despite the new name, the 1950s look and feel remained.

“I’ve been living in Nashville for over 40 years, and it’s been here ever since I’ve been here,” Steve St. John, a Bobbie’s regular, told News 2. “Great burgers, great prices, and it’s like going back in time a little bit.”

“Customers will come back and be like, ‘Oh, I’ve been coming here since I was a little kid,’ and I just feel like they are walking down memory lane,” manager of Bobbie’s Dairy Dip, David Paik, said. “Because a lot of people and places have changed in Nashville, and Bobbie’s is fairly similar to what it used to be.”…
