Nashville ramps up heat response as temperatures continue to climb

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WZTV) — Nashville is under a heat advisory through Monday as city officials warn of dangerous conditions with heat indices expected to reach the low 100s.

With highs near 90 degrees and oppressive humidity expected to continue throughout the weekend, the Nashville Office of Emergency Management (OEM) is stepping up outreach efforts to prevent heat-related illnesses and fatalities. So far, no heat-related deaths have been reported in Davidson County.
