PEGRAM, Tenn. (WKRN) — Cheatham County deputy Cameron Wicker patrols Highway 70 daily. It’s a passion of hers to make sure people are driving safely.
This weekend, she is paying closer attention to the busy road as the “Safe on Seventy” campaign begins in Tennessee. The goal is to raise awareness and reduce traffic fatalities.

“With basically any type of infraction, seat belt, moving violation, expired tags, phones, speeding, or when you’re driving, you’re kind of distracted, you’re looking for all of those,” Wicker said.
Tennessee Highway Patrol officials said more than 28,000 crashes have occurred on Highway 70 since 2020. More than 200 people have died in those crashes…
