Third arrest made in shooting outside short-term rental from early June

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – An exchange of gunfire after a party at a short-term rental in early June has now led to three arrests.

The Metro Nashville Police Department arrested 21-year-old Malachi Common on Wednesday, one month after the shooting occurred on Fern Avenue.

According to his arrest affidavit, Common acted in concert with 19-year-old Myles Vaughn and 18-year-old Jaylin McNairy during the robbery and subsequent shooting that took place at the rental property around 4:30 a.m…
