La Vergne Police Step Up Summer Drug and Traffic Enforcement in Dual Operations

LA VERGNE, Tenn. – A series of law enforcement efforts over several days has led to multiple arrests and the seizure of illegal drugs, as La Vergne Police continue their summer mission to improve public safety and get narcotics off the streets.

The first of the two major incidents unfolded just after midnight on June 28, when La Vergne officers initiated a traffic stop on Murfreesboro Road. What began as a routine stop quickly escalated when two suspects fled the scene in a second vehicle. Officers later located the car and detained both individuals. A search revealed over 14 grams of methamphetamine, additional drugs concealed on a passenger, and six open beer containers. One suspect reportedly admitted to using meth and claimed ownership of the drugs.

Both individuals were charged with a range of offenses including felony drug possession, DUI-related violations, and contributing to the delinquency of a minor. Officers Gad, Jordan, Brewer, and others were commended for their swift response and investigation.
