‘Operation Gummy Trap’: Employee arrested for allegedly selling drugs from Hendersonville market

HENDERSONVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — The Hendersonville Police Department and Tennessee Bureau of Investigation raided a store accused of selling marijuana behind the counter and CBD products to minors.

Back then, the same manager—identified as 25-year-old Omar Alazab—was arrested for allegedly selling drugs from the store, including nitrous oxide and marijuana.

Investigators said when citizens complained that the activity was still going on, law enforcement conducted a sting operation nicknamed “Operation Gummy Trap.”

“We knew he was selling vapes to minors and then we made a determination that some of the things he was selling out of the store, the CBD and hemp products, were indeed illegal,” said HPD Lt. Chris Gagnon.
