MNPD investigating ‘suspicious death’ after body found

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — Detectives have launched a “suspicious death” investigation after a woman’s body was discovered in Nashville Saturday morning, according to officials.

The Metro Nashville Police Department said a man walking his dog spotted the body on Knight Valley Drive near Harding Place on Saturday, July 19.

When officers arrived just after 7 a.m., they reportedly found the woman’s body, which was covered by a garbage bag, off the side of the road.

Authorities said the Medical Examiner is working to identify the woman and determine her cause of death.
