KANSAS CITY, Kan. (KCTV) – A Tennessee man will spend nearly 6 years in prison for a Ponzi scheme that defrauded victims in Kansas and other states out of $1.9 million.
The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Kansas announced on Friday, July 18, that Alcides Roman, 66, of Lebanon, Tennessee, has been sentenced to a total of 71 months – nearly 6 years – in prison after he pleaded guilty to a single count of wire fraud.
