The Nashville Fire Department is currently on the hunt for a suspected arsonist, who was captured on surveillance video setting fire to Brooke’s Bail Bond. According to a report from WSMV, the incident took place at approximately 11:55 p.m. on Tuesday at the business located at 2601 Jefferson Street. Two individuals near the premises at the time of the event have attracted the attention of fire investigators – a person in shorts seen taking an interest in the building and another individual, in a hoodie, who appears to actually start the fire.
The surveillance video evidence, which the Fire Department is now sharing in a call to the public, shows the individual in shorts walking past the building before the second suspect, donning a hoodie, lights an object and throws it at the building. “Cash rewards of up to $5,000 are paid for information leading to an arrest or conviction,” NFD said, urging anyone who can identify the persons in the video to promptly contact the NFD’s Arson Line or the Tennessee Arson Hotline. Both identified persons’ images have been widely disseminated in hopes that community members can help to swiftly locate them.
Further details shared by WKRN emphasize the Nashville Fire Department’s need for public assistance in this matter. Officials have indicated that the person who set the fire is the suspect directly responsible, while the first person might have relevant information and is thus a person of interest in this incident…
