NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — A 50-year-old man has been charged in connection with the death of a woman whose body was found in South Nashville last weekend.
A man walking his dog spotted the body on Knight Valley Drive near Harding Place on Saturday, July 19. When officers arrived just after 7 a.m., they found the woman’s body — which was inside a garbage bag bound by rope and duct tape — off the side of the road, according to Metro police.
She was later identified as 34-year-old Samia G. Magzaoui, of Nashville. Investigators believe she died from stab wounds and blunt force trauma.
On Thursday, July 24, Metro police announced Juan Ramiro Lopez-Navarro — who was in a “dating relationship” with Magzaoui — was taken into custody and charged with criminal homicide. He was booked into the Metro jail on a $501,000 bond.
