Driver charged months after deadly motorcycle crash in Hermitage

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — A 38-year-old man has been charged in the connection with the death of a motorcyclist in Hermitage earlier this year.

According to Metro police, 47-year-old Jeremy Whitaker, of Mt. Juliet, died in a crash on Friday, April 25 in the 4400 block of Lebanon Pike.

Crash investigators believe a Toyota Tundra pulled out of the Walmart parking lot to turn east on Lebanon Pike when Whitaker’s Suzuki motorcycle hit the driver’s side rear of the vehicle.

According to court documents, the truck was registered to a woman who told officers she was driving the truck at the time of the crash. A man also in the truck, Justin Blake, reportedly said he was not driving as his license was revoked for a prior DUI…
