Teens charged after pursuit leads to discovery of 2 stolen vehicles, key programmer in Nashville

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — Detectives arrested two young women Monday night accused of attempting to use a key fob programmer to steal a nearby vehicle during a police pursuit in Nashville.

According to police reports, around 7:30 p.m., Vehicle Crimes Detectives in the Edgehill area attempted to perform a traffic stop on a stolen Lexus IS250 with non-matching license plate tags. The car quickly fled, prompting a pursuit involving a Metro Police helicopter.

Officers damaged one of the Lexus’ tires using spike strips, but the driver continued to flee until stopping on the entrance ramp to Interstate 440 from Interstate 65 South.
