Man charged with deadly gas station shooting in South Nashville after monthslong search

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — A man wanted in connection with a deadly shooting at a South Nashville gas station has been arrested after a search lasting more than three months.

According to the Metro Nashville Police Department, Derek Randolph, 25, was arrested Tuesday night following a “tactical vehicle takedown” on a stolen Kia Forte he was driving. Following his arrest, officers found a pistol, fentanyl, crack cocaine and marijuana in the vehicle.

Officials said Randolph declined to speak with detectives. He was is charged with one count of criminal homicide and four counts of attempted criminal homicide.

The shooting occurred shortly after 2 a.m. Saturday, April 19 at Honeysuckle Market on Lafayette Street.
