Nashville Woman Charged with Drug Possession and Retail Theft Following Mt. Juliet Traffic Stop

A routine traffic stop on I-40 took a turn when Mt. Juliet Police pulled over a Nashville woman for not wearing a seatbelt, only to find her behind the wheel and actively smoking marijuana. In a post by the Mt. Juliet Police, the situation quickly escalated as officers discovered not just cannabis but an assortment of illegal substances and paraphernalia in her vehicle.

The 40-year-old driver, who had just left Pleasant Grove Rd, was also found in possession of methamphetamine, psilocybin mushrooms, and various drug-related items. The police didn’t stop there, as their investigation unearthed her involvement in a string of retail thefts. According to the social media update, the driver had stolen items and made fraudulent returns at a local Walmart, along with another return at Lowe’s on the same day. Her day of crime encompassed not just drug use but orchestrated shoplifting efforts as well.
