Nashville Police Bust Teens in Stolen Vehicles, Seize Firearm Following Chase on I-65 South

In a recent crackdown on vehicle theft, Nashville police apprehended two teenagers and retrieved not only two stolen vehicles but also a stolen firearm. Surveillance operations by the Vehicle Crimes detectives led to the arrests last night in the area of Edgehill. According to a report by the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department, 19-year-old Khania Donnell and a 17-year-old female, whose name has not been disclosed due to her being a minor, attempted to evade police officers before being stopped with the use of spike strips.

Sitting inside a white 2014 Lexus reported as stolen, the teens struck off, only to be intercepted by the police following a brief chase. Successfully deploying spike strips, police halted the vehicle on the ramp from I-65 South to I-440 West at approximately 8:15 p.m. It was found that a license plate inside the Lexus matched one from a Nissan Maxima, later recovered directly across the concrete barrier of I-440, suggesting a pre-arrest attempt to switch between the stolen vehicles…
