New Cheatham County Warrants Unit arrests Greenbrier man after year on the lam

The arrest of an alleged drug dealer in Goodlettsville by the newly formed Cheatham County Sheriff’s Office Warrants Unit gives new meaning to the phrase “the customer is always right.”

According to an arrest report from the CCSO, on Saturday, July 12, Dallas S. Harshaw, 37, of Greenbrier, was arrested in a hotel in Goodlettsville, culminating an almost year-long search, according to warrants division commander Sgt. Ryan Hawkins. The arrest came as a joint effort between the CCSO and bail bondsman Hank Salyer.

Hawkins said in the arrest report that Salyer had been working with them for several weeks to apprehend Harshaw, who had an active felony warrant from the Cheatham County Circuit Court for failing to appear on a probation violation. The motel room was rented in the name of Harshaw’s girlfriend…
