Two Motorcyclist Killed in Separate Weekend Crashes

Two motorcyclists were killed in separate crashes over the weekend in Nashville.

On Friday night, 37-year-old Daryus Chambers of Antioch died in a collision on I-65 north just before the Briley Parkway exit. Investigators say Chambers and another motorcyclist were traveling north at 10:45 p.m. when Chambers struck a tractor-trailer, lost control, and crashed. The second motorcyclist, an 18-year-old, then ran over Chambers and also crashed. Chambers died at the scene. The second rider sustained non-life-threatening injuries. Authorities believe the driver of the tractor-trailer may not have realized the vehicle was struck and continued driving on I-65.

On Saturday at 10:15 p.m., Joshua Parsons, 44, of Nashville was killed after his Kawasaki Ninja collided with an SUV on Gallatin Pike near Twin Hills Drive. Parsons had been riding north toward Hendersonville when he hit a Honda Pilot that was turning left onto Gallatin Pike from the Target entrance. He died at the scene…
