NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – Major changes are coming to what’s allowed to be built in Nashville neighborhoods.
The Metro Planning Department is rolling out new zoning rules that will provide more housing options and types for Nashvillians looking for a home in traditionally single-family neighborhoods.
The proposal is part of the ongoing Housing and Infrastructure Study ordered by Metro Council that found around 90,000 to 120,000 new homes will be needed in the Nashville area over the next decade, but only around 70,000 homes will be built with the current zoning and construction trends…
