Metro police padlock 404 Bar & Grill as ‘public nuisance’

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — A judge issued a temporary injunction and padlocking order for a South Nashville bar that’s been declared a “public nuisance.”

According to the Metro Nashville Police Department, detectives from the Specialized Investigations Division padlocked the 404 Bar & Grill in the 400 block of Elysian Fields Road on Thursday, Aug. 7 after continued issues and calls for service over the last five years, “draining resources from Midtown Hills Precinct.”

Not only has the business been ordered to stay shut down pending a hearing on Monday, Aug. 11, but the bar’s operators, Nancy McGrath and Laura Wilson, and the property’s owners, Charles James Farris II and Howard Avery, are prohibited from coming onto the premises pending further court orders, officials said…
