JOELTON, Tenn. (WSMV) – Officers with the Metro Nashville Police Department said a man had to ‘fight for his life’ to wrestle a handgun away from his son, who was attacking him inside a home in Joelton on Wednesday.
David Beranek Jr., 28, was arrested and charged with attempted criminal homicide in the attack on his father, David Beranek Sr., according to an arrest affidavit.
The affidavit states that as officers responded to a call at a home in the 5000 block of Clarksville Pike, Beranek Sr. flagged them down and had ‘significant’ blood on his face, neck, and arms. Beranek Sr. had cuts on the top of his head and multiple open wounds on both of his arms.
